When I’m off-shore grouper fishing or looking for some mangrove snappers I’ve learned a few tricks that can help bring those reef monsters to you. As a general rule of thumb have a bait on the surface when fishing offshore like a pilchard or a crab. Another rod should be sitting in your rod holder with a buck-tail jig in the 1 too 2 ounce size , my choice would be yellow or black.
