The offshore and near shore bite continued for another week as a plethora of bait continues to stick around. Cobia, kingfish, tripletail and snapper fishing was good with most fish caught in more than 25 feet of water. The backcountry bite was also good on incoming water tides that stayed somewhat clean. During the below mean low water times redfish, trout, and sheepshead could be caught on cut lady fish and shrimp on either a popping cork or jig thrown along the channel edges. When the water was low and the wind blew it did turn up the bottom pretty good in some areas so finding cleaner water was still something to think about all week. Snook fishing continued to be good in the rivers as well as for jacks, trout, and some snappers chasing the same white bait meant for a snook. Last but not least the passes continue to hold a bunch of different species including a lot of small sharks this week again.
